Re: Love that dirty water, Boston you're my home (Dead Related) |
You two 70s loving twits are enough to make me puke...har, har...
All you need to love Boston and the DEAD is 1969: April and December. If CLIFF were around, he'd be nice enough to post the links to prove my point.
Seriously, though you guys, nice to be back to enjoying the boys and sharing a moment of synchronicity with each other...always cool.

Re: Love that dirty water, Boston you're my home (Dead Related) |
Hey Will T. - I'd always pegged SDH for a fundamentally eighties guy with an open heart and mind for the treasures to be found elsewhere. I'll admit to heading back to the Keith years on a fairly regular basis myself - but I'll give almost anything a try at least once.
You're right, though, it's good to take the rudder and stop the drift through the muddy waters that threaten to drown this place. SDH's post was a reminder of the fellow feeling that attracted me here in the first place. I'm glad to know that he and you and a few others are still hanging in there keeping this ship of fools crewed.
I'm actually not in 76 Boston at the moment but at the Fillmore East on 9-20-70, a little peach of a show in my opinion but perhaps a little modern for your tastes...

That is a huge peach, my friend...CLIFF & I talk about it regularly, and along with 9-19-70, a couple of amazing nights (the first night doesn't measure up to the second and third, in my view). Love the Rosalie McFall--brings a tear to my eye every time.
Enjoy!

Very cool...in some small but significant way, the Forum Lives...in spite of my complaining.

Or because of it?
Either way, the ship seems to have righted itself on its own. Hope we'll see you above decks more frequently. Shuffle board on the Lido deck in half an hour, Washington will be making some mean margaritas and Doc will be supplying the oxycontin. Unfortunately, Captain Stubing, Gopher, and Julie are in the Captain's quarters tokin' on some juicy Thai stick and cranking some '68.

I better get in there to explain the essence of 68 to Julie and send Gopher and the Capn' to the poop deck to check for nearby sinking Greek cruise ships...

Twits? Puke? Damn straight.
As for Boston 69, we will be featuring a fine example from this extraordinary run for the upcoming Yanks v. Sox duel at Fenway starting on the 20th.
